Sadly, due to COVID-19, so many amazing events were cancelled this year. Peace Love Smile is greatly affected by this. Let's talk about each division and how their plans have changed...
PEACE LOVE EAT- I cannot cook for the lovely girls at Children's Harbor for a long time. We cannot risk anyone getting sick and since I am interacting with the girls in the kitchen, it is not a good idea to continue. I am so sad that I cannot cook for them, but the last thing I would want to do is increase their chances on getting COVID-19. Socially distanced cooking demonstrations would be very hard and nearly impossible to do since interaction is key to learning how to cook. I hope that I can able to teach them one more time before I go to college.
PEACE LOVE COMFORT- SAFE (Stuffed Animals for Emergencies) stopped all donations for all chapters due to the pandemic. We will resume donations with SAFE allows us to and the chapters feel comfortable accepting donations. Since I live in Florida, accepting donations right now is not a good idea. I would love to do another Communiteens SAFE partnership drive this year at school, so hopefully we will be able to safely resume by second semester.
PEACE LOVE KINDNESS- We Finish Together is still actively making medals, but limited. Since we normally personally give them medals to the recipients, it will be very hard to do this. We are still continuing, but in the safest way possible.
PEACE LOVE COMMUNITEENS- Communiteens is still active! We are working on community service project to help anyone suffering from the effects of COVID-19. This includes doctors, nurses, mail carriers, patients, family members, teachers, etc. We have done several events these past few months including masks drives (we collected 602 homemade masks) and letter making drives. This year, the AHS chapter will be holding virtual events. We are working hard to continue our mission on helping teenagers gain leadership skills while working on meaningful service events. Hopefully, our virtual events can make a similar positive impact in the community!
SO SO SORRY I HAVEN'T BLOGGED IN AWHILE! Let me tell you about these past few months! Here's what's been going on!
Peace Love Eat - We have had PLENTY of events teaching the young, amazing girls how to cook at Children's Harbor. They are incredible as always and I am so grateful to be able to teach them how to cook!
Peace Love Comfort - We are constantly getting donations for SAFE! We have gotten hundreds in the past few months! Communiteens AHS even collaborated with us and held a drive at school.
Peace Love Kindness - We are making many medals for We Finish Together!
Peace Love Communiteens - SOOOO MUCH STUFF HAS HAPPENED! Make sure to check out the CommuniChat on www.communiteens.com for that update!
Thank you for all of your support throughout these past few months with donations!
While my bother is off to college at Carnegie Mellon to study at the School of Engineering, I will be taking over his non profit organization and adding it as another chapter of Peace Love Smile! As president, I will be managing the non-profit, expanding it throughout the country, and also working with my own chapter at school! I am so excited to be working with our amazing chapter presidents to make a difference in the community. This is an incredible opportunity and I am so happy to be a part of it!

This past weekend, Peace Love Kindness did another medal drive! This time, they went to the people in Pittsburgh who suffered from the shoot at the temple, A Tree of Life. Every medal says, "A tree of life is stronger than hate", a blue ribbon, and a note with an inspiring quote with #neverforget on the back. We are hoping to make an impact in the community and made 75 medals!
Also, for Peace Love Eat, we did a pb&j drive for the homeless and they will be distributed by LifeNet4Families. We made 78 sandwiches and are very excited to do more food drives in the future!
As my non profit organization expands, I have changed the name to Peace Love Smile. The branches of the organization include...
-Peace Love Eat
-Peace Love Comfort
-Peace Love Kindness
-Peace Love Photo
Each branch has something special to it, but they all have the common goal to....
SPREAD PEACE. SHARE LOVE. CREATE A SMILE.
My older brother's non-profit organization, Communiteens, will be parting with SAFE for a stuffed animal drive for the American Heritage Communiteens Chapter! We are very excited to work with them throughout the month of October and can't wait to work with them in the future!
Today, I spent a few hours at Children's Harbor of South Florida to show six young girls how to make mac and cheese and s'mores! The girls were eager to participate and learned many techniques in the kitchen! They were especially excited for the s'mores and loved making their own! I can't wait to continue working with them and have my next event in November!
I am very happy to announce that today's event for Peace Love Eat was a huge success! I went to Children's Harbor of South Florida today to teach the girls how to make a delicious lunch, spaghetti and meatballs! As a request from my last event, I made this dish, and the girls were engaged and loved to help out! They took turns helping me measure, mix, and shape the meatballs! I loved making it for them and can't wait for more events! Our next event will be after summer and hopefully, during the next school year, I will be able to expand Peace Love Eat to other charities and start food drives!
On Friday, I had the opportunity to go to the Hands On Broward Youth Impact Award Ceremony! I was one of the finalist for the Individual Impact Award! Even though I didn't win, I will try each year to be a finalist and hopefully win! I also plan on working with Hands On Broward in the future too!
After the terrible tragedy that happened in Majority Stoneman Douglas in Parkland Florida a few weeks ago, my chapter of Peace Love Kindness has created medals for the victims of the shooting. We worked together to make 200 medals. We Finish Together has been working together as fleets to make at least 3,000 medals, one for every student and faculty member. Peace Love Eat sends our love to anyone who was impacted by this horrific event. #WeFinishTogether #MSDStrong #MarchForOurLives
Today, my friends and I had an amazing opportunity to partner with a organization called We Finish Together. We now have our own fleet (chapter) called Peace Love Kindness, and can't wait to expand our chapter with more events! Blake Starr, a director in We Finish Together, collected metals from races, walks, and competitions, and we decorated and wrote inspirational messages on 100 of them. These medals are going to hospitalized children at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. These medals are meant to allow a child to feel joyful and accomplished! My friends, Hayden, Caroline, Olivia, Caroline, Emma, and I all decorated the medals with stickers and drawings! Check out the photos tab to see photos of the event!
I am very happy to announce that Peace Love Eat is officially a non-profit organization! Now, along with teaching cooking classes, I will expand the organization into other food-related projects. This will include food drives throughout the year, cooking classes at other organizations, and fundraising! I can't wait for Peace Love Eat to continue expanding in the next few years!
Today, I went back to Children's Harbor to teach the girls how to make chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate chip cookies! It was a lot of fun and delicious! The two recipes had very similar ingredients, so I let them keep all of the ingredients! The girls were very mature and engaged in the culinary lessons. They were very happy throughout the experience and wanted to participate with each recipe! I am very happy this event was a success and I can't wait for more amazing experiences with the girls!
Today, I had an amazing time teaching 6 girls at Children's Harbor how to cook! I taught them how to make strawberry danishes and an egg white omelette. Each girl got to make 2-4 danishes for themselves and got to keep the extra ingredients at the end, so they could continue cooking when I left! I taught them several cooking techniques that I hope they use in the future. The girls were extremely kind and were engaged in the cooking! I was very happy to cook for them because they were all so mature and excited to learn. Their kitchen was super clean and the girls were very helpful in the kitchen! I am very excited to work with these girls in the near future and teach them more recipes. I gave them a recipe book to keep, so as I continue going, they will get to keep the recipes I teach them. Thank you for letting me have such a great first experience!
